The short version
MecchaPalette is a static page. All color math, palette generation, and screenshot sampling run entirely in your browser. We have no server-side accounts, no login, and no database. Screenshots you drop into the sampler are read locally with the HTML canvas API and never leave your device.
What is stored, and where
The only data the tool keeps is stored in your own browser's localStorage:
- Recent swatches — colors you've copied or sampled.
- Pinned swatches — colors you've starred.
- Consent choice — whether you've dismissed the cookie notice.
None of this is transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland)
For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we present a consent message through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform, allowing you to consent to or decline personalised advertising cookies before they are set.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Plausible) to count visits and see which features are used. These tools do not track you across sites and do not use cookies.
Third-party links
Pages linked from this site (for example the game's store page) have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
Children
The site does not knowingly collect any personal information — from children or anyone else. There is nothing to collect: no forms, no accounts, no uploads.
Changes
If this policy changes (for example when ads go live), the date at the top of this page will be updated.
